Jonathan Boatwright

Jonathan Boatwright has been helping people buy and sell homes in Austin since 2004. He moved to Austin in 1992 and has spent more than three decades watching the city grow, neighborhood by neighborhood. In 2004, Jonathan founded Realty Austin and built one of the first modern home search platforms for the brokerage. At the time, most real estate websites were little more than basic MLS search pages. His goal was simple: give buyers better tools and better information so they could make smarter decisions. Over the next two decades, Realty Austin grew from a small startup into one of the largest independent brokerages in Texas, eventually reaching more than 800 agents and the #2 market share in Austin before being acquired by Compass in 2023. Jonathan has worked with thousands of buyers over the years and has deep experience helping people navigate Austin’s neighborhoods, market cycles, and the sometimes complicated process of purchasing a home. CurbScout is Jonathan’s latest project — an experiment in rethinking home search for the AI era.
