Del Valle High School opened in 1956 as Del Valle Junior-Senior High serving grades 7-10 (grade 11 added 1957, then grade 12). A Freshman Academy 9th-grade center was established after the 2007 bond. The school operates 'The Go Center' college and career center and is affiliated with Austin Community College.
